Reunion 2011 Meeting
June 3, 2010

Present:  Jim Cunningham, Doug McClain, Ralph Stacy, Jim West, Jean Hypes, Michelle Greenwalt Vackar, Darla Ownbey, Susie Bullington, Jim Haines, Candy Buckmaster, Jeff Ottinger, Lori Overdorf

Jim Haines opened the reunion discussion by mentioning the new co-chairman that will be working with him:  Martha Farley and Michelle Greenwalt Vackar.   An ad in the Times Sentinel will be placed some time this summer to notify readers of the Reunion 2011.  More detailed plans for the reunion will take place in September.

Hall of Fame
Ralph Stacy will once again be in charge of this part of the event.  He will check on the ZAA website for the criteria for nominations and past inductees.  At the September meeting, Ralph will present the time line for having nominations in.  Ralph will also book the LGI room at the high school after the first of the year for the event. 

Set Up Committee
Jo Carol Quick has once again volunteered to be a part of the set up committee.  Darla Ownbey, Susie Bullington, Jean Hypes & Kris Hill have also volunteered.

Sponsorship
Jim Cunningham has talked to several potential sponsors for the event.  In the past $100 has been the price for sponsorship.  Jim Haines will give Jim C a list of past sponsors to contact.

Admittance fee
The price of admittance was discussed.  To keep the entry line(s) moving, it was decided that $20 per person or $30 per couple was a fair price.  Lifetime members who present their cards will be admitted for free.   Discussion of holding a raffle to encourage membership was discussed.  Also alumni who sign up for a lifetime membership would get a $20 discount. 

Memorial donations
$10 each.  We need to keep of list of donations and donors.

Car Show
Doug McClain and Jim Cunningham will work together on this.  Jim C mentioned they hoped to have 20-25 vehicles on display.  They will rope off the area with the cars so people won’t enter the reunion without paying.

Miscellaneous Info
We need to publicize what the Reunion proceeds are paying for.  Jim H encouraged each committee to have separate meetings between Reunion meetings.  Monthly meetings will begin in January. Contact Jim H with any ideas for the Reunion.  ZAA may have a car in the Fall Festival Parade with information about the next Reunion.  Perhaps Brad Stevens could be our rep for the parade.

Next meeting:  September 2nd or 9th at 7:00 p.m. at the Salem Methodist Church.
